The Artist-in-Residence Programme at MuseumsQuartier Vienna, supported by ERSTE Foundation in collaboration with tranzit, the Igor Zabel Association, and Kontakt Collection, invites applications for its 2026 residency cycle. This two-month residency offers artists, curators, and theoreticians from Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia—and through a special grant, Ukraine—the chance to live and work in the heart of Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier.
Residents receive a monthly stipend of €1,300 and a travel grant (€300 for EU candidates, €500 for non-EU). The programme supports critical research and creative development free from daily production pressures, with access to a vibrant cultural network of institutional and peer exchanges.
Applicants must submit a portfolio, a letter of intent, and CV via Google Forms and email, with selections notified by October 2025. Applications are accepted only if complete and submitted in English by 14 September 2025.
