Rocío Nogales Muriel is Executive Director at EMES International Research Network asbl, a position she has held since 2004, demonstrating remarkable experience in fundamental and applied research.

With a PhD in sociology of culture, social innovation and social enterprise from Universitat de Barcelona, she specializes in social enterprises, social and solidarity economy, nonprofit sector and program evaluation.

Her diverse experience includes coordinating cultural and artistic projects, being the founder of eyephoneography (2010-2013), an innovative project of exhibits and activities around mobile photography and the work of international mobile photographers, which organized the first traveling mobile photography exhibition in the world Flickreyephoneography, and having experience in arts management at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and Pittsburgh Children’s Museum.
